Overview

The Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR), the world’s largest two-day rowing competition, returns to the Charles River. Since 1965, the regatta has become a quintessential Boston tradition, blending elite athletic competition with a lively festival atmosphere that attracts rowers and spectators from around the globe.

Highlights

🚣 Elite Rowing Competition – Top collegiate, club, and international teams race the twisting three-mile course, showcasing precision, endurance, and strategy.

🌟 Olympians & Rising Stars – The regatta often features Olympic athletes alongside young rowers, making it a proving ground for the sport’s future talent.

🎶 Festival Atmosphere – Along the riverbanks, live music, vendor tents, and food stalls create a celebratory environment for locals and visitors alike.

🍂 Autumn in Boston – With peak fall foliage as the backdrop, the regatta is as much a visual spectacle as an athletic one.
