Overview

Each February, Mexico City Art Week transforms the capital into a global art hub, with a constellation of fairs, gallery openings, and museum exhibitions. Anchored by Zona Maco, Latin America’s largest art fair, the week also features Material Art Fair, Salón ACME, and numerous independent projects that showcase Mexico’s vibrant creative ecosystem.

Highlights

🖼️ Zona Maco – The flagship fair brings together top international and Latin American galleries, spanning contemporary art, modern masters, design, and photography.

🌟 Material Art Fair – A favorite for discovery, this fair highlights experimental practices and younger galleries pushing the boundaries of contemporary art.

✨ Salón ACME & Off-Spaces – Artist-driven initiatives, pop-ups, and alternative venues reflect the DIY energy and creative independence of Mexico City’s art scene.

🏛️ Institutional Engagement – Major museums and cultural institutions time their exhibitions to coincide with the week, creating a citywide dialogue between art, history, and society.
